Deep in the Pine Barrens, one of New Jersey's most infamous legends has been haunting the Garden State for nearly 300 years. Dating back to 1735, the story of the Jersey Devil has become one of the most recognizable pieces of New Jersey folklore. So we decided it was time to bring that legend to life.

The Jersey Devil Hoodie takes inspiration from vintage horror graphics and the darker side of Jersey history, featuring a massive, detailed back graphic of the legendary winged creature emerging from the Pine Barrens beneath a full moon. Jersey basketball is DIFFERENT 🏀🔥

People seriously don't understand how much basketball talent comes out of New Jersey!! Like we're talking about a state that has produced some absolute LEGENDS and somehow still doesn't get nearly enough credit for it. That's why I love the idea behind this shirt. It's not just another random basketball graphic, it actually represents the history and culture of hoops in Jersey. If you grew up playing AAU, watching high school games, or following the guys who made it out of here, you already know how serious basketball is in this state. This is the type of design that basketball fans can appreciate even if they're not from NJ. Jersey hoops deserves its flowers fr!! 💐🏀

Brunson deserves his flowers

There's something special about watching a player become the face of basketball in this area. Brunson has that old-school mentality where he just puts his head down and goes to work, and I think that's a huge reason people around here connect with him. This shirt is a cool way to celebrate what he's meant to basketball in the Tri-State area. The whole concept feels bigger than a typical player graphic. It's about the energy, excitement, and pride that comes with having someone represent your area on such a big stage. Definitely one of the more interesting basketball-inspired designs in the collection.

Overall

Their sweatsuit for the garden state collection looks awesome together or separate. It has my stamp of approval and so does the company as a whole.

Newark deserves designs like this

Not every piece of New Jersey merchandise needs to represent the entire state. Sometimes focusing on one city creates something much more meaningful. Newark has such a deep history and cultural identity, and the Brick City nickname carries a sense of pride for people who have a connection to it. I like the idea of clothing that recognizes that identity instead of treating New Jersey as one interchangeable place. Whether someone grew up in Newark, has family there, or simply appreciates the city's influence, this design gives them something specific to connect with. It's the kind of concept I'd like to see more of from brands that genuinely understand their communities.
